Ah, a small snake. He was only hungry, not looking for human tastes. I now live on another island in the Philippines, an island called Bohol. A few months ago we had a visit from a snake as well, on our front step. An articulated boa. Only 10 feet long.
What you are experiencing is normal. Try to get used to it. You might love it.
